Francesca is a musician and artistic creator from Suffolk, now living and working in London. She graduated from the Royal College of Music in 2020 with First Class Hons, studying bassoon with Emily Hultmark, Sarah Burnett and Roberto Giaccaglia, and second study piano with Kathron Sturrock.
She is currently Music Assistant at Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group. She is part of the music team responsible for Cinderella at the Gillian Lynne Theatre, as well as the Broadway transfer of Bad Cinderella; 2023 production of Aspects Of Love; 2021 UK and Toronto Tour of Joseph; the re-opening of Phantom of the Opera; as well as all his shows around the globe. Her role involves orchestral adaptions of shows, musically overseeing productions and events, extensive copyist work and studio work, and accompanying rehearsals and vocal sessions.
Francesca is currently Bassoon/cover Keys 3/Second Assistant Conductor on the Middle East and European tour of The Phantom Of The Opera, and is very honoured to have been the first female identifying conductor in Saudi Arabia.
She was Associate Orchestrator to Matthew Malone and Copyist for the regional tour of Treason – The Musical, with Nick Pinhcbeck as Musical Supervisor. She is currently Music Associate on Bhangra Nation, also with Matthew, and Rich Morris as Musical Supervisor.
Francesca has been musical director of many shows, including two seasons as MD with professional pantomime company PHA, Sister Act (Adrian Mann Theatre and Marina Theatre), Drowsy Chaperone (Rhoda McGaw Theatre), Sweeney Todd (Britten Theatre, RCM – chorus-master) Oliver!, Little Shop of Horrors (Seagull Theatre), Aspects of Love and Spamalot (Players Theatre). She was also musical director for West End’s Rob Houchen at his hometown Christmas concert in 2018. Francesca co-wrote and performed on ‘Christmas Is Here’ with Collabro and Ben Adams in 2020, which reached No.1 on the iTunes Classical charts.
